The actual deployment of the sensor network is a very delicate undertaking. The deployment of the first batch of sensors is used to train your staff, so they can adapt the network in subsequent stages of development. They learn how to place the sensors without leaving traces; how to finetune them to accommodate local conditions; and how to test the sensors before leaving them. Once installed the sensors are designed to operate unattended. Power supply is based on rechargeable batteries, solar panels, fuel cells, or a combination of these. The cost of the sensors varies accordingly.
